STAR began operations in 1988, manufacturing replacement seals for steam turbines. Today, STAR is a category leader and innovator serving the global turbine aftermarket with high-quality, engineered parts. STAR operates out of a 68,000 square foot manufacturing facility located in Marion, OH and has a team of field crews that travel nationwide to custom fit turbine parts for our valued customers. The STAR team is a close-knit family of skilled machinists, talented engineers, helpful salespeople, and solutions-oriented staff, all dedicated to creating the best possible experience for customers.

In December 2023, STAR joined forces with its Greenville, SC-based sister company, THOR Precision, LLC (“THOR”). THOR is a leading manufacturer of specialty, aftermarket hardware for gas turbines. STAR’s partnership with THOR brings added capabilities which enable both companies to better serve their customers with a broader array of quality turbine parts.
